In line with Article 46(1) of the CPR, Managing Authorities of ESI Funds programmes should send to the European Commission a specific report covering the operations comprising the financial instruments as an annex to the AIR. The service intends to assess the performance of the Financial instruments by collecting and aggregating the information sent by the Managing Authorites and providing summaries of data on the progress made in financing and implementing the financial instruments.
The objective of the service is to assist the Commission in identification of possible data quality issues in information submitted by the managing authorities of ERDF and CF programmes and to prepare draft annual summaries.

The service is the continuation of the previous service, started in 2017.
