The SALUTE-ZDRAVSTVO project aims to improve the quality of health and social services for the population living in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia, in particular the citizens of the municipalities of Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter-Vrtojba, which established the EGTC GO.

Citizens will benefit from a wider and better offer of healthcare services resulting from a network which will integrate healthcare services from both territories. The project promotes institutional cross-border cooperation of the relevant authorities and operators in order to put forward shared solutions to common needs in the healthcare and social sectors in particular the action of the single cross-border booking centre (CUP).

This evaluation service is intended to be a comprehensive analysis of the problems encountered during the implementation of the cross-border CUP trial and the use of the web-based platform created that interrogates the two healthcare systems and makes the cross-border CUP operational for contracted services.

The service includes several evaluation techniques, interviews with the EGTC GO, implementing organisations, Slovenian and Italian CUP responsible and institutional partners and operators from the health sector from both sides of the border, and is entirely carried out by t33. Our colleague Paul Georis is leading the evaluation team.
