Pietro is a senior policy analyst and adviser at t33, specialised in evaluation and European comparative studies with extensive experience in project cycle management. Since 2010, he has provided evaluation services for Interreg and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) mainstream programmes at transnational, national and regional levels, acting both as coordinator and expert. He also led comparative studies for EU institutions, including DG REGIO, DG GROW and the the European Committee of the Regions (CoR). He is highly skilled in qualitative evaluation techniques, including stakeholder focus groups and case studies.

He is currently focusing on the application of the partnership principle within Interreg programmes covering candidate countries, as well as on the governance and functioning of cross-border and transnational Interreg programmes, coordinating both evaluation and technical assistance assignments. Pietro’s thematic expertise is primarily in culture and tourism.
