  • Start Date: May 2026

  • Status: In Progress

The aim of the UNDP study, ‘Impact Assessment of the ‘Just’ Aspect of Green Transition in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans 2025–2027’, is to develop a methodology and practical guidance for analysing the social, environmental and economic benefits and risks of the ‘just’ dimensions of green transition.

The study focuses on three countries in the Eastern Neighbourhood and the Western Balkans: Georgia, Moldova, and Armenia. The study proposes policy solutions to address the most pertinent or overlooked issues and develops capacity-building materials to support national and subnational stakeholders in integrating the social dimension into decarbonisation and climate change mitigation strategies.

The approach is intended to be country-specific, providing input and guidance for the Just Transition in the countries under scrutiny while simultaneously developing a broader framework that can be extended to other similar regional contexts.

The study is led by t33, in consortium with Naxta.
The service is coordinated by t33 expert François Levarlet.
