The project is  tendered by the European Spatial Planning Observatory Network (ESPON). Aim of the project is the production of complete time series of core indicators, considered useful for EU Cohesion Policy. This will be achieved by data collection and estimation of missing data. This update is part of a long-term strategy for keeping the ESPON Database up-to-date and useful in the context of European territorial analyses and providing Europe-wide comparable data down to NUTS3-level.
